Privacy & Cookie Policy
Learn how we handle personal information when you browse or shop at EKVINTA.
Last updated: 15 October 2026
This policy explains how EKVINTA, operated by Edvinas Šmitas, handles personal data when you browse ekvinta.com, place an order, create an account or contact us.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
For EKVINTA’s store activities, Edvinas Šmitas, Statybininkų g. 33-42, Alytus, 63407, Lithuania, is the data controller because he determines the purposes and means of processing. Customer information is handled through services that operate the store, including WooCommerce and Hostinger. FluentCRM and Google Site Kit handle information for their respective features. Depending on the service, a provider may process data on our behalf or act as an independent controller under its own privacy notice. Using these services does not transfer responsibility for EKVINTA’s own processing. You can contact us at info@ekvinta.com.
2. What data do we use, and why?
- Orders and delivery: your name, contact details, billing and delivery address, items ordered, payment status and order history. We use these to fulfil your contract, deliver the order and handle returns.
- Accounts: your account details and order history, so you can use your account and manage purchases. Our wishlist may store saved product IDs in your account or, for guests, in a cookie needed for that feature.
- Questions and support: information you send through forms or email, so we can respond and resolve your request. Depending on the request, this is necessary for a contract or our legitimate interest in providing support.
- Accounting, tax and legal claims: order and transaction records where required by law or needed to establish, exercise or defend a claim.
- Site security: technical information such as IP address, browser and server logs where needed to protect the site and prevent abuse, based on our legitimate interests.
- Newsletter: your email address and subscription preferences if you opt in. You can withdraw consent using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
- Analytics: information about site use collected through Google Analytics via Google Site Kit when you give the required cookie consent. You can change your choice through the site’s cookie settings.
We do not receive your full payment card number. Payment details are handled by the payment provider you select.
3. Who receives your data?
We share only data needed for the relevant service with our hosting and website providers, delivery partners, and payment providers. The payment options on the site include PayPal and WooPayments, which may offer Klarna. The site uses Google Site Kit for analytics and FluentCRM for email subscriptions. These providers handle data under their own terms and privacy information where applicable.
We do not sell customer personal data.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Essential cookies keep the shop, account, cart, wishlist and your cookie choice working. Optional Google Analytics cookies are enabled only if you choose to allow analytics in the cookie banner. The banner offers separate options to reject optional cookies, accept analytics, or customize your choice. Marketing tracking is not currently used.
Your analytics choice is stored in a first-party consent cookie for 30 days; then the site asks again. You can change or withdraw consent at any time with the “Cookie settings” button shown at the bottom of the site. You can also delete cookies in your browser, although some shop features may then stop working.
Google Ads, Meta and TikTok advertising tools are planned for the future. Before enabling them, we must update this notice and the consent choices.
5. How long is data kept?
We keep order and accounting records for the period required by applicable law. We keep account data while an account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards where needed for legal obligations or claims. We keep support messages for as long as needed to handle the request and related claims. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe, unless a limited record is needed to respect your choice. Cookie lifetimes depend on their purpose and settings.
6. Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, an applicable GDPR transfer mechanism and any required safeguards must be used. Contact us for information about the providers and safeguards relevant to your data.
7. Your rights
Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may ask to access, correct or erase your data, restrict or object to processing, and receive data in a portable format. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. To make a request, email info@ekvinta.com. You may also complain to the Lithuanian State Data Protection Inspectorate (VDAI) or another competent supervisory authority.
8. Changes
We will update this page when our data practices or legal obligations change. The date above shows the latest revision.
